i went for dinner at green papaya located at queen street ,ottawa today. The waitress there was very rude. she did not bother to take my order after having me seated. Ultimately i went to the counter and told them what i want. The food came and it was bland (i had ordered spicy) and the noodles were bad. so i said please add some spices to it and the next i know in 2 min this waitress gets the same dish with some crushed spice on the side. Wow that was creative. Most disgusting meal of my life and i will never go there again.
On lunch hour - the food is good. I have found the service is not friendly and waitresses are sometimes rude. Make reservations or you will wait for a long time in the tiny entrance space.
Not bad as food, but the decor is a little dull, those carpets not clean looking, the space between tables too tight.
I went there at lunch for noon...we waited for a server to come greet us.....not one person came..I had to go to the cashier and ask her where we needed to be seated..after 20 minutes of sitting and waiting I had to get up and ask if there was going to be somebody serving us to take our order....it took 20 min before a watress came..we ordered our appetisers but got it the same time we got our food which was another 30 min...there were only 2 waitresses during lunch hour....all the staff is rude and dont care about there customers....I will never go back again....I wont even rate it it doesnt deserve a rating....
I have gone to over 30 Thai Food restaurants throughout Ontario and this one is easily one of the worst.
- fast service
- great chopsticks
- portion size is tiny
- prices are too high
- food was excessively oily/greasy
- flavour is below average
I ordered the Pad Sai Roong (Seafood Rainbow) as a takeout order tonight. Let me say that for $20.06 (incl. tax), it was easily the biggest rip off I’ve experienced from any Thai food restaurant. This ‘entrée’ had precisely 2 shrimp and 5 small pieces of scallops. And it’s not like there was an abundance of squid either. Sadly, they were just as cheap with the vegetables. The only thing this place was generous with was the oil the food was cooked in. In fact, I would guess that there was at least 500ml of oil. Half of it was in the poorly sealed container and the other half was in the bag. What a mess! What a mistake! Oh, did I mention that no rice or noodles were included with this order? I feel so ripped off.
How is this place in business?
This was the best Thai place I have been to:)
bad joke, pal!
